The Return to Campus

As everything starts to open back up and more people get their vaccinations, we all must make the transition back to our in-person life. Kids are returning to schools, people are going back to their office jobs, and schools are welcoming students back to campus.

Here at Boardman Training Center, we are so excited for our students to be back on campus. Just like in years past, there are great advantages to learning in an on-campus environment. When you attend our healthcare career training classes here at BTC, you get an interactive education, lots of in-person support, and the chance to build great connections.

Interactive Education

The Return to Boardman Campus
If you’ve decided to enroll at BTC to fast-track your way to a great healthcare career, you will benefit from an interactive educational experience. We keep our class sizes small, so you get individual attention and instruction from all your teachers. In addition, we know that each and every student has a unique set of needs and educational preferences, so we work hard to ensure you have exactly what you need to succeed in your classes.

While you attend your career training courses, you learn hands-on skills that you will apply once you begin your new career. Our healthcare training classes provide interactive labs that allow you to practice your valuable skills with the help of experienced instructors.

In-Person Support

We provide you with consistent in-person support throughout your educational experience. Starting the first time you reach out to us, you will have a committed admissions advisor to help you enroll in your chosen career training program. From filling out your application to registering for your healthcare training classes, we are here to guide you through every step!

Once enrolled in your healthcare program, our academic team will be here to help you as you complete your classes and prepare to earn valuable certifications. With tutoring services, flexible classes, and academic advising, we will give you the support you need to succeed.

Great Connections

While completing your healthcare training courses at BTC, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with many people, including your classmates, instructors, and the staff. You’ll feel right at home in your classes with our warm family atmosphere.

Building these meaningful connections with people you meet at school will give you a fun and happier educational experience and help you create a professional network that will be valuable for many years.

At BTC, we are committed to you, your education, and your successful career. We work with you every day to help you achieve your career goals by providing a WE CARE approach to education. Nikki Granger – Employee Highlight

Meet Nikki Granger, our Boardman Training Center highlight for this week!

Nikki Granger

Nikki started at Boardman Training Center in March 2014 as an Admissions Advisor and her role has grown from there.

Today, she does a little of everything including greeting and helping students, enrolling students, proctoring exams, planning events, assisting with managing BTC social media, and serving as a lab instructor for phlebotomy.

“If I’m doing my best job, students should love their education and be prepared for their career,” says Nikki. She strives to set a great example for students and has an open-door policy to help them achieve their goals and get their careers on a fast track.

Before starting as an employee at Boardman Training Center, Nikki was actually a student herself, so she has first-hand experience on what students need to be successful. In 2013, Nikki was an STNA and decided she wanted to do more to help people. This led her to enroll in the Cardio-Phlebotomy program and go on to complete the Patient Care Technician program here at BTC.

Nikki decided to make the move from student to employee at BTC because many of the students reminded her of herself, and she wanted to be part of helping them achieve something.

Nikki says there are many things she loves about working at BTC, but her favorite is seeing students succeed and achieve their goals. She works every day to make a positive impact on the lives of her students. “Put love into your work and love everyone that you have,” she says.

“I just love my job. I can’t even express that enough,” says Nikki. “I look at my job like I could be helping my own child.”

As for what she has accomplished while working at BTC, Nikki considers helping students enroll for classes to be her most important accomplishment, because she is helping them to better their lives and take such a big step for their future.

Outside of work, Nikki loves spending time with her daughter, who is active in both bowling, softball, and band. Nikki also serves as the Assistant Treasurer of Struthers Band Boosters, helping to raise money for band students.
