We’re Here for You Through COVID-19

As we all adapt to dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and the new normal, life has changed for each and every one of us in the last few weeks. From having our daily movements restricted, to homeschooling our kids, to the heroes on the front lines who are courageously battling the virus, we have all been affected.

At Boardman Training Center, we want our students, our community, and our future students to know that we are here for you and will support you in every way we can. We’re all in this fight together and we will get through it together.

Supporting BTC Students

At BTC, we think of ourselves as a family, and not just a school. Throughout this difficult and uncertain time, we continue to stay committed to our purpose, to empower change by creating opportunity.

We’re committed to supporting and serving our BTC family of students during the COVID-19 pandemic by offering live online classes that allow students to continue receiving the education and training necessary to begin a rewarding healthcare career. With this online remote classroom instruction, students can continue to work toward achieving their career goals.

In Ohio, educational institutions are considered essential businesses, so students can travel to campus to get distance learning materials or other related essential services. At the BTC campus, we’re taking every precaution necessary to ensure our facilities are sanitized and are operating under social distancing requirements. We understand that many students cannot travel to campus, so instructors are available to assist students remotely with anything they need.

Supporting Our Community

While we continue to support our students throughout this time, we are also highly invested in the local healthcare community and remain dedicated to serving it as best we can by providing the local workforce with qualified medical professionals.

With healthcare career training programs including Cardio Phlebotomy, EKG Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, and Medical Office Specialist, BTC graduates are on the front lines battling the COVID-19 virus by providing critical support to physician’s offices, hospitals, and clinics.

We pledge to continue to support community members and local healthcare teams by training and preparing critical healthcare workers who are essential during the pandemic.

Supporting Future Students

There have been many people and families negatively impacted because of COVID-19 and the mandatory restrictions on non-essential businesses. Many people have been laid off or lost their jobs and millions around the country have already applied for unemployment benefits.

We are a school with the purpose of empowering change by creating opportunity, so we believe that it’s our responsibility to help people get retrained, enabling them to go back to work. To allow people to begin working toward a meaningful healthcare career, we are now offering virtual campus visits for all potential students. We hope this will provide the opportunity for those who have been negatively affected to start their path to a more secure career.

This time of uncertainty can be especially hard for high school seniors who are making decisions about what to do after graduation. We encourage all high school seniors to explore our career training programs that allow you to get on the fast track to a successful and rewarding healthcare career.
